- Our Top Tip: The order line can get long, but don’t let that scare you away.
If you don’t read any further in this list, that’s ok, head to Zeerover’s and enjoy the freshest fried fish on the island. Look around for me, maybe I’m dangling my toes in the clear blue water right next to you.
This is by far my favorite restaurant in Aruba. It’s even on Caribbean Expedition’s TOP list of restaurants in the Caribbean.
- Location: Oranjestad
- Dish Recommendation: Seafood paella and Portuguese-style stews
- Summary: Gostoso offers a unique fusion of Caribbean and Portuguese flavors in a cozy, homey ambiance. The restaurant is known for its dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients, providing a true taste of Aruban and Portuguese culinary traditions.
- Our Top Tip: Make a reservation. This is an adorable restaurant, but it is small.
If you’re looking for cozy and romantic, look no further than Gostoso. While an adventurous traveler can try the portuguese food, they also offer classic Aruban fare. Plan a little extra time to find the place. It is located in an alley on the outskirts of downtown.
- Location: San Nicolas
- Dish Recommendation: Goat curry and coconut shrimp
- Summary: This family-run establishment serves up authentic Caribbean and Creole cuisine. Kamini’s Kitchen is a hidden gem known for its bold flavors and heartwarming hospitality, offering homemade flavors in an intimate setting.
Talk about eating like a local! You won’t find a friendlier, more authentic spot in Aruba. Not only is it the most affordable option on our list for high end dishes and ingredients, but the staff is so welcoming they’ll make you a regular in no time.

The Flying Fishbone is a pioneer in Aruban seafront dining. If you’re lucky (or make a reservation), you can even get a table with your feet in the ocean.
